About Kivik
Pleasure boats, apple orchards, markets and lots of culture - so much and yet so close to it all! Kivik is one of Österlen's real gems, a historic village with many sights and experiences, which attracts visitors with an increasingly rich range of shops, restaurants and stores.
The old fishing village of Kivik has a tasteful mix of older and newer buildings.
A walk in the old quarters near the harbor is pure pleasure. The writer Fritiof Nilsson Piraten liked to spend his summers here, sometimes in the company of his eccentric friend Sten Broman. Kivik is also home to Österlen's oldest museum and one of Sweden's oldest cinemas!
The pleasant climate has made Kivik a center for Swedish apple cultivation. When the apple orchards bloom in May, it is even more beautiful than usual in our region. A warm autumn day offers colorful walks both along the coast and inland in the hilly landscape.
Hundreds of artists and artisans work in Österlen, and it was precisely here that the first Konstrundan was arranged at Easter 1969. In the south is Stenshuvud, Sweden's southernmost national park, with an unusually rich fauna and flora. In the north begins the country's longest and perhaps finest sandy beach, which runs all the way to Åhus.
A warm welcome to Kivik!
